Job Title: SEO Automation Engineer

About the Role:
We're looking for a builder, not a marketer. If you love writing Python scripts more than writing content, automating repetitive work, and exploring what's possible with AI APIs — this role is for you. You'll be responsible for architecting and running a content automation pipeline that publishes high-quality, SEO-optimized blogs at scale on WordPress. SEO knowledge can be taught; your job is to bring the engineering mindset.
What You'll Do:
- Design and build end-to-end automation workflows that research topics, generate content using AI (Claude, GPT, Gemini), and publish directly to WordPress
- Develop Python scripts and integrations using the WordPress REST API to automate post creation, categorization, tagging, featured images, and internal linking
- Build quality-control layers: fact-checking pipelines, plagiarism detection, readability scoring, and human-review triggers
- Integrate with SERP APIs and keyword research tools to automate content briefs and topic discovery
- Set up automated image generation and optimization pipelines
- Create dashboards to monitor publishing volume, indexation status, and content performance
- Continuously experiment with new AI models, prompting techniques, and automation tools to improve output quality and throughput
- Maintain the infrastructure (cron jobs, server, error handling, logs) that keeps the pipeline running 24/7
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong Python programming (requests, pandas, async basics)
- Hands-on experience with at least one LLM API (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
- Working knowledge of WordPress architecture and its REST API
- Understanding of HTML, JSON, webhooks, and basic SQL
- Familiarity with Git and version control
- Prompt engineering — ability to get consistent, high-quality outputs from LLMs
- Problem-solving mindset and comfort with debugging unpredictable systems
Good-to-Have:
- Experience with n8n, Make.com, or similar automation platforms
- Web scraping experience (BeautifulSoup, Playwright, Puppeteer)
- Familiarity with SERP APIs (DataForSEO, SerpAPI)
- Exposure to vector databases, embeddings, or RAG systems
- Basic understanding of SEO principles (E-E-A-T, on-page optimization, schema markup)
- Experience deploying scripts on Linux servers or cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean)
