What is Workplace Strategy
Strategy is the process by which we bridge the gap between a client and their required design. It involves using tools and techniques to extract the right project information for a client, helping them solve problems related to spatial programming, consolidation, requirements, and the transition to hybrid spaces. The team collaborates with clients before the design stage, sometimes even helping them determine if a design project is necessary. We serve as the clients advisors, guides, and subject matter experts for everything related to workplaces.
To support our clients effectively, we conduct research, benchmarking, and knowledge-sharing initiatives both within and outside of Space Matrix. We have a long list of project-related and non-project internal initiatives focused on research, data collection, and, to a limited extent, data analytics.
Eligibility
- Minimum 4 years, maximum 8 years of experience in the Corporate Real Estate Industry
- Educational background in Interiors, Architecture, Project Management, or Real Estate (RICS, MRICS, B.Arch, B.Sc, Civil Engineering, etc.)
About The Role

You will be part of our Workplace Strategy Team, working closely with team members. This is a multi-skill role where, based on time and pipeline, you will take on various responsibilities as a researcher, strategist, presentation expert, and more. Some activities and projects will require brainstorming, creative deck-making, and problem-solving. This role also involves client-facing interactions, so understanding Workplace Design Thinking Principles and aspects of Design & Build projects will be essential for seamless client interactions and presentations. Structured and unstructured thinking, along with public speaking skills, will be important for the demands of the job.
What You'll Do
- Support WPS pitches by developing decks, proposals, reports, and engaging in client conversations as needed.
- Translate client intent and collaborate on projects with our regional design studios and project consultants as required.
- Attend and support ongoing WPS project meetings and client presentations as needed.
- Coordinate with various studios to gather relevant documents and layouts for analytics purposes.
- Assist with manual historic data collection of identified projects to contribute to the company database.
- Support the transfer of gathered data to the company proprietary tool.
- Conduct research, both desktop and project-based.
- Embrace variety and be open to taking on new tasks or initiatives outside of day-to-day responsibilities.
