We are setting up the Central Talent Management Group (CTMG), a critical component of our organization s growth and responsible for optimizing human resources utilization, development, and retention. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Resource Manager to lead this group and ensure our talent is effectively leveraged, continuously developed, and highly engaged.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Maximize Talent Utilization
- Minimize bench time and quickly assign employees to projects.
- Develop and maintain a real-time dashboard to track bench strength, costs per skill, demand, and attrition.
- Streamline processes for matching skills with project requirements.
- Regularly review and update the skill inventory of bench employees.
- Skill Development and Training
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to keep skills current and aligned with market needs.
- Conduct regular skills assessments to identify gaps.
- Encourage cross-functional training and rotations.
- Schedule mandatory training sessions during bench time.
- Partner with external educational institutions for specialized training (e.g., Coditas partnering with SCOE for Data Science training).
- Resource Allocation and Management
- Efficiently allocate resources based on skill sets, availability, and project requirements.
- Establish a dedicated resource management team.
- Use tools to track project needs and match resources.
- Coordinate closely with project managers to understand upcoming requirements.
- Conduct workforce planning sessions and develop succession plans.
- Implement a formal internal job posting system.
- Proactively identify future tech requirements and keep talented professionals skilled throughL&D tracks.
- Talent Acquisition Support
- Collaborate with HR to provide insights and support recruiting strategies.
- Share skill gap analyses with HR.
- Participate in recruitment planning and interviews.
- Talent Retention
- Implement strategies to keep talent engaged and reduce turnover.
- Create engagement programs for bench employees.
- Offer career development discussions and mentoring.
- Provide clear career progression paths and growth opportunities.
- Performance Management
- Track and evaluate performance to ensure high productivity.
- Develop a robust performance tracking system.
- Implement regular performance reviews and feedback sessions.
- Set clear performance goals and KPIs for bench employees.
- IT Support Tool Development
- Support the development and enhancement of IT support tools.
- Collaborate with the IT department to identify tool requirements.
- Allocate bench resources with IT skills to development projects.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of developed tools.
Requirements
You should have
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master s preferred).
- 8+ years of proven experience in resource management within an IT services firm.
- Strong understanding of project management and workforce planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR and project management software.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Leadership experience with a track record of driving engagement and performance.
- Ability to develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to track various metrics related to bench strength, training, and performance.
- Capable of developing and implementing strategic initiatives for talent utilization, skill development, and employee retention.
