The ideal candidate has experience extending WordPress functionality and developing custom PHP solutions to support business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, optimize, and enhance the existing WordPress-based application.
- Develop and integrate custom PHP functionality within the WordPress ecosystem.
- Work with APIs and third-party services to extend application capabilities.
- Debug and resolve issues related to WordPress plugins, themes, and custom PHP code.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to deliver seamless user experiences.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in PHP and experience with WordPress development (plugins, and hooks).
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of basic front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance issues in WordPress and PHP applications.
- Prior experience working with WordPress security best practices is a plus
