Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the design and planning of wet utility projects, including water, wastewater, and stormwater networks.
  • Design water and wastewater transmission pipelines, coordinate utilities, investigate stormwater systems, and handle cross-connections.
  • Conduct hydraulic and hydrological modeling and update system models.
  • Guide team members in using technologies such as Civil3D, SewerGems, WaterGems, AutoCAD, BIM, Mike Plus, Epanet, ArcGIS, and Excel.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards including water, irrigation, firefighting, and road administration authority regulations.
  • Liaise with service provider agencies for NOCs and design approvals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including municipalities, city development offices, and transport administrations.
  • Assist main designers in updating water system models, sewage, and stormwater installations.
  • Ensure proper design and implementation of water and pressure waste networks, including utility coordination of existing installations.
  • Prepare designs, drawings, technical reports, specifications, and schedules.
  • Manage junior technical staff, plan workloads, and mentor team members.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the team and bring new skills into the group.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and stay updated with industry innovations.
