Job Description:
Responsible for total welding activities of the plant as per KRA / KPI below:
KRA:
- Welding Management: Responsible for the overall welding function / activities as per level A Tasks & Responsibilities mentioned as per requirement of EN 15085-2.
- Welder Qualification: Welder qualification / continuity tests as per EN 9606-2. To test and certify the welders as per approved WPS and other procedures laid down ( NDT and Lab tests required)
- Certification Management: Overall responsibility for the Welding certification of EN 15085-2. Ensuring adherence of quality standards, systems, documentation and implementation throughout the plant.
- Welding Inspection: Guide the team of Welding Coordinators and inspectors for NDT methods for inspection of welding quality.
- Operational Management: Manage the daily / weeky operations tasks pertaining to weld department.
- Welding Drawing / Documentation: Guide team to prepare the relevant documentation ( Weld drawing, Weld Map, Weld Plan, NDT Process ) for NPD
- Team Management: Responsible for managing team of welding engineers, inspectors and trainer for their performance as per set KRA / KPI
- Equipment / Technology : Responsible for upgradation of new equipment, technology upgradation program.
- Training & Development: Defining the training plan for knowledge transfer, skill development for all the team members reporting.
- MRM: Monthly Review Meeting doc preparation and presentation to Management team and CFT members.
Skills required:
- Welding Knowledge: Detailed understanding of Welding process ( GMAW / GTAW ) & Robotic Welding ( preferred). Prior experience of welding with Aluminium will be preferred.
- Welding Codes & Materials: Practical working knowledge of welding code EN 15085-2 and various materials. ( Aluminium is preferred)
- People management: Ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce towards a common goal
- Soft Skills: Communication ( Written & Verbal ), Mutli-Lingual ability.
- Mixed Workstaff management: Manage a workforce of staff, consultants, workers (On roll, Off roll).
- Operations Management: Detailed understanding of Functional flow for an engineering manufacturing company. Preference in Heavy Engineering & Fabrication process.
- Analytic Skills: Ability to analyze data / content and make key decisions based on that.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in MS / Google Suite along with ERP / MES softwares.
- Business Process: Awareness & Work experience in process driven operations well-versed with Integrated Management System ( IMS)
Candidate Profile:
Age: 35 - 45 years
Basic Educational qualification: B.E Mech / B.E Production / B.E Metallurgy
Additional Qualification: IWE / IWT
NDT certification as per EN 9712 for PT & VT , Experience of DWC / RWC as per requirement for 15085-2
Salary Renumeration: Competitive to attract the best with a combination of fixed and performance linked remuneration based on Goals and Targets.
Salary Band: Between 15 L - 20 L ( Salary band is not binding. we are flexible if the candidate is right for the role)
