Overview
We're looking for a Senior Web Application Firewall (WAF) Engineer to join a global cybersecurity team. This role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-level WAF solutions to protect applications across cloud environments. You'll work closely with security, infrastructure, and development teams to strengthen defenses and streamline operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead WAF deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting across applications.
- Implement and manage standardized WAF rule sets and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex security issues.
- Create documentation, monitoring, and reporting frameworks.
- Support incident response and service requests.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in security, network, or application security.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud-based WAFs (Imperva, Akamai, AWS, Azure).
- Strong understanding of network architecture and web security principles.
- Experience with Terraform, Git, Confluence, and Jira preferred.
- Scripting experience (Python, Ruby, or Golang) a plus.
- Relevant certifications (CCSP, CCSS, or cloud certs) are an advantage.
