About the Position:

The purpose of this role is to perform effective maintenance services under Annual Maintenance contract of Metro projects at Hitachi Rail and ensure System upkeep /availability for smooth Metro operations. Role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Metro environment. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of CBTC equipment and software, supporting uninterrupted train operations. Position will be based on site locations near to Metro project and candidate should be open to move from one location / project to other based on business requirement.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the execution of maintenance activities on site in accordance with the contractual KPIs
  • Expert level system support on AMC for routine maintenance and troubleshooting during failure.
  • Perform high level maintenance activities on CBTC hardware and software systems
  • Escalate unresolved issues to design/OEM/vendor teams with detailed technical reports.
  • Coordinate with CBTC design team and product experts overseas to resolve critical issues and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • To conduct analysis of failures, prepare reports, routine business communications.
  • Download regular ZC, frontam, and CC logs, analyse and investigate error & warnings to fix the issues.
  • Verify system configuration, upload software updates and ensure smooth functioning of CBTC wayside and onboard systems.
  • Ensure rebooting of server/machines according to periodic schedule.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, fault logs, and system updates.
  • Follow safety precautions, work permit guidelines of Metro rail while working.
  • Ensure safety checks after completing the maintenance or troubleshooting.
  • Perform shift and emergency duties when required
  • This role requires 24x7 support to customers on a shift basis (telephonic support other than normal working hours) and hence night hours working sometimes.
  • Monitor CBTC system performance, availability and provide technical reporting to the Client.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate stock and repair process activation

Key Experience Preferred:

  • 5+ years of Experience in Metro Rail Signalling / ATS systems maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of CBTC architecture, hardware modules, and software applications.
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, test equipment, and system monitoring software.
  • Excellent understanding of Wayside and onboard CBTC system of Metro rail
  • Working experience on various CBTC equipment's such Car borne Controller (CC), BTM modules, frontam, Zone Controller (ZC), Balices etc.
  • Working knowledge of power supply equipment and connectors used in automatic train control (ATC) system.
  • Basic knowledge of switches and communication networks.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment

Education/Qualifications Preferred:

  • Batchelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science / Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
