Role Overview

The Senior VP – FP&A will serve as a strategic finance leader for a global IT Services organization backed by a Private Equity (PE) sponsor. This role demands deep financial acumen, strong business partnering capability, and the ability to operate in a fast paced, transformation driven environment. The leader will drive financial planning, commercial governance, operational rigor, and value creation initiatives aligned with PE expectations. The ideal candidate brings a blend of FP&A leadership, commercial finance, pricing, controllership oversight, and business transformation experience across global delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Business Finance Leadership

• Partner with business unit heads, delivery leaders, and sales leadership to drive profitable growth across global markets.

• Translate business strategy into financial outcomes, ensuring alignment with PE value creation plans.

• Lead long range planning, annual operating plans, and rolling forecasts with high accuracy and business insight.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Own P&L management for assigned business units, including revenue, margins, utilization, and cost optimization.

• Provide deep analytical insights on revenue drivers, pricing, deal profitability, and operational KPIs.

• Build scenario models for new markets, service lines, and large outsourcing deals.

3. Commercial Finance & Deal Governance

• Lead financial evaluation of large IT services deals, MSAs, renewals, and transformation programs. • Drive pricing strategy, rate card governance, and margin assurance for global clients.

• Partner with sales and legal teams to structure commercially viable, risk balanced contracts.

4. PE Style Value Creation & Operational Excellence

• Support PE-driven initiatives such as EBITDA expansion, cost takeout, working capital improvement, and cash discipline.

• Implement performance dashboards, KPI frameworks, and operational cadence aligned with PE reporting standards.

• Drive zero based budgeting, SG&A optimization, and delivery productivity programs.

5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor a high performing finance team in Bangalore.

• Influence senior global stakeholders with data driven insights and executive ready communication.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and PE operating partners. ________________________________________

Required Experience & Qualifications Experience

• 20+ years of progressive experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Strategic Finance roles.

• Extensive experience and knowledge in Mergers & Acquisitions

• Strong background in global IT services, engineering services, digital transformation, or technology consulting.

• Prior experience in a Private Equity–owned or transformation heavy environment is highly preferred.

• Proven track record of managing multi geography P&Ls, global delivery models, and large enterprise clients.

• Demonstrated success in pricing, deal structuring, and commercial governance for large outsourcing engagements.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Deep understanding of IT services financial levers: utilization, pyramid optimization, offshore/onshore mix, rate cards, delivery cost structures.

• Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, scenario planning, and data analytics.

• Expertise in revenue recognition, contract accounting, and global compliance frameworks.

• Proficiency with ERP and FP&A tools (SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Power BI, etc.). Leadership & Behavioral Competencies • Executive presence with the ability to influence C suite and global stakeholders.

• Strong business partnering mindset—balancing financial discipline with commercial agility.

• High ownership, resilience, and comfort operating in a PE driven, high accountability environment.

• Ability to lead teams, build capability, and drive a culture of performance and transparency. ________________________________________

Education

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution preferred.

• Additional certifications in analytics, strategy, or leadership are a plus. ________________________________________
