InfiVR is a Bangalore-based VR/AR company building immersive training and visualization solutions for enterprise clients across energy, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Our work spans operator training simulators, equipment visualization, safety drills, and mixed-reality data exploration tools — deployed on standalone headsets, tethered PC VR, and AR devices.
The Role
We're hiring a Senior VR/Unity Developer to lead the technical delivery of immersive applications on standalone and tethered XR platforms. You'll own features end-to-end — from architecture and prototyping through optimization and deployment — and mentor junior developers on the team. You'll work directly with project leads and clients on requirements, technical feasibility, and demos.
What You'll Do
- Architect and develop production-grade VR, AR, and MR applications in Unity for standalone headsets (Meta Quest 2/3/Pro, Pico) and tethered PC VR setups
- Build interaction systems, custom locomotion, hand-tracking and controller flows using OpenXR / XR Interaction Toolkit
- Optimize performance for mobile-class GPUs — draw calls, batching, LODs, shader complexity, memory budgets — to hit comfort framerates on standalone hardware
- Integrate 3D assets, scenarios, and authored content into modular, reusable application frameworks
- Implement backend integrations (REST APIs, LMS/SCORM/xAPI, analytics) for enterprise deployments
- Collaborate with 3D artists, designers, and project managers to translate client requirements into shippable builds
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code; review PRs; mentor junior developers
- Participate in technical scoping, feasibility assessments, and client-facing demos
Must-Have Skills
- Strong proficiency in Unity (2021 LTS or later) and C#
- 3+ years of hands-on VR/AR development with shipped projects on standalone headsets (Meta Quest preferred)
- Solid grasp of OpenXR and XR Interaction Toolkit (or equivalent: Oculus Integration, MRTK)
- Experience optimizing for standalone XR — profiling tools (Unity Profiler, RenderDoc, OVR Metrics Tool), URP rendering pipeline, shader optimization
- Comfort with 3D math (vectors, matrices, quaternions), physics, and spatial computing concepts
- Version control with Git, branching strategies, and collaborative workflows
- Ability to read documentation, debug independently, and ship under deadlines
Nice to Have
- Experience with AR / MR development (ARKit, ARCore, HoloLens 2, Quest Passthrough)
- Multiplayer/networked XR (Photon Fusion/PUN, Netcode for GameObjects, Mirror)
- Shader programming (HLSL, Shader Graph)
- LMS integration experience — SCORM, xAPI, Tin Can
- Spatial anchoring, QR/marker-based tracking, image targets
- Exposure to enterprise domains: oil & gas, manufacturing, healthcare, training simulators
- Native plugin development (Android/iOS) and build pipeline automation
- Experience with WebXR or cross-platform XR frameworks
