Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Senior Video Editor with strong experience in the media and news industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in editing high-quality video content for news, digital platforms, and OTT, along with exposure to AI-powered editing tools and advanced post-production techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and produce high-quality video content for news broadcasts, digital platforms, and social media
- Handle end-to-end video production, including raw footage selection, editing, color correction, sound design, and final output
- Create engaging short-form and long-form content optimized for digital and OTT platforms
- Collaborate with reporters, producers, and content teams to meet tight deadlines
- Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and editorial standards
- Work on breaking news edits with quick turnaround time
- Incorporate graphics, transitions, effects, and animations where required
- Optimize videos for platforms like YouTube, OTT apps, and social media channels
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong experience in media/news channel video editing (mandatory)
- Proficiency in tools such as:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Final Cut Pro
- After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve
- Hands-on experience with AI-based video editing tools (e.g., automated editing, AI voice sync, captions, enhancements)
- Good understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition
- Knowledge of color grading, sound mixing, and motion graphics
- Experience in handling high-pressure newsroom environments
- Familiarity with digital content trends and audience engagement strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with TV news channels or OTT platforms
- Exposure to content optimization for YouTube and social media algorithms
- Basic knowledge of VFX, animation, or motion design
- Understanding of multilingual content editing (Telugu preferred)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Media, Mass Communication, Film Production, or related field
- Relevant certifications in video editing or digital media are a plus
