Full-time On-site (Vashi, Navi Mumbai)
About Swarna Bharat TV:
Swarna Bharat TV is a mission-led creative platform telling precise, high-quality stories on Bharat's history, culture, spirituality, and knowledge systems. Our YouTube channel is live with RashtraGaatha, and we're rolling out twelve original showsanimated series, on-field documentaries, studio formats, and feature specials. We pair research-first writing with cinematic craft, and we're preparing our originals for wider distribution, including OTT.
The Role:
We're hiring a Senior Video Editor Lead to own story flow, pacing, and finishing across weekly originals. This is a hands-on role: you will personally cut the flagship edits each week while leading planning and delivery. You'll turn scripts and visual beats into high-retention edits, plan A/B openings, coordinate motion/AI editors and an intern per task, and keep projects organised for fast iterations. Colour is handled by DoP/grade where needed; your focus is story, rhythm, structure, and delivery.
What you'll do -
1) Edit Leadership & Story
- Lead weekly long form edits (712 min) with strong 030s hooks, clean act structure, and satisfying closes.
- Plan A/B versions of the opening minute; propose alt pacing/VO trims from a retention lens.
2) Planning & Handoffs
- Run a light Edit Board each week: lock sequence plan, asset needs, and deadlines.
- Keep tidy project files (bins, proxies, naming, versioning); hand off to motion/AI editor cleanly.
3) Packaging & Variants
- Deliver main cut + social pulls/teasers; coordinate with thumbnail designer on moment frames.
- Add temp sound design/music beds and supervise final mix (freelance sound if used).
4) Quality & Iteration
- Maintain export discipline (levels, loudness, safe titles, captions when needed).
- Turn analytics into action: carry one concrete change into next week's cut (hook, pacing, or structure).
Must-haves
- 59 years editing non-fiction/digital/featurettes; YouTube pacing sense (hooks, retention beats).
- Hands-on lead: you ship weekly edits and run a simple weekly edit plan.
- Retention-first storytelling: designs 0:001:00 hooks, plans A/B openings, and can restructure scripts visually when needed.
- Project hygiene at scale: clean bins/proxies/naming/versioning; enforce templates and stable exports.
- Cross-functional coordination: brief & integrate outputs from motion graphics, AI-filmmaking, and intern with clear notes.
- Expert in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve; proxies, multicam, audio cleanup, captioning.
- On-site (Vashi); dependable weekly delivery; collaborates well with writers/designers.
Nice-to-haves
- After Effects (basic): titles/callouts/maps; ability to brief motion designer precisely.
- Builds simple sequence templates/checklists; mentors by example.
- Archive/rights awareness; LUT-aware handoff to colour.
Why join us
- Lead the editorial voice on originals with national resonance.
- Mission-led team, fast decisions, visible crediting.
- Multi-platform exposure: digital now, repackaging for wider distribution.
