The Role
We're looking for a skilled and creatively driven Senior Video Editor / Animator to lead our video and motion output. You'll own the quality and direction of video content across multiple brand clients from concept through to final delivery while also mentoring junior team members and helping shape how Popfly approaches moving image.
This role demands someone who can think strategically about content, execute with precision, and bring fresh ideas to the table. You'll be working on social-first content, brand films, motion graphics, and animated campaigns often all at once.
What You'll Do
Lead the end-to-end production of video content from briefing and concept to edit, grade, and delivery
Create sophisticated motion graphics, kinetic typography, logo animations, and branded visual systems
Develop and maintain distinct visual languages for multiple brand clients simultaneously
Direct and edit brand films, product showcases, event reels, and social media campaigns
Drive platform strategy for video knowing what format, length, and style works on each channel
Mentor and review the work of junior video editors, providing constructive creative direction
Collaborate closely with the graphic design, social media, and client servicing teams
Stay ahead of trends in motion design, social video, and digital content and bring those insights to clients
Manage project timelines and delivery schedules across concurrent accounts with minimal oversight
What We're Looking For
35 years of experience in video editing and motion graphics, with a strong agency or production background
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; comfortable with the full Adobe Creative Suite
A compelling showreel demonstrating range social content, motion graphics, and brand storytelling
Deep understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, colour, and sound design
Strong grasp of social media platforms and how to make video content that genuinely performs
Ability to independently interpret client briefs and translate them into high-quality creative output
Experience leading or reviewing the work of junior team members
Highly organised, self-sufficient, and calm under deadline pressure
