House of Ataraxia is looking for a Senior Video Editor who can edit with taste, rhythm, structure, and strong visual direction — someone who can not only cut well, but also elevate edits through After Effects, motion graphics, titles, supers, transitions, and visual treatments.
We're looking for someone who understands that editing is not just about putting clips together. It's about creating mood, pace, emotion, retention, and recall.
The work will include:
- Social-first reels
- Brand films
- Campaign edits
- Founder-led content
- Food, fashion, product, and lifestyle content
- Ad creatives
- Long-form to short-form edits
- Motion-led edits, titles, supers, and visual treatments
- Occasional music/video-led projects
What we expect
You should be able to:
- Independently take an edit from raw footage to final delivery
- Create clean, premium edits using Da Vinci Resolve + After Effects
- Build tasteful motion graphics, animated text, supers, lower thirds, and transitions
- Add visual polish through masking, tracking, keyframing, compositing, speed ramps, and effects
- Understand briefs, references, brand mood, and campaign direction
- Choose the right music, pacing, and edit structure
- Create engaging hooks for short-form content
- Understand retention, visual rhythm, and social media performance
- Work with clean timelines, organized files, and proper project hygiene
- Handle basic sound cleanup, mix, colour correction, and export settings
- Adapt editing style according to different brands
- Take feedback well and revise quickly
- Maintain consistency across multiple client accounts
- Meet deadlines without compromising quality
Software skills
Strong command over:
- Adobe After Effects
- Basic colour correction
- Basic sound cleanup
- DaVinci Resolve is a plus
- Photoshop/Illustrator basics are a plus
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong visual taste
- Good music sense
- A sharp eye for detail
- Strong motion design understanding
- Ability to lead edits independently
- Good understanding of social media content
- Ownership, communication, and consistency
- 3+ years of editing/motion experience preferred
