Key Responsibilities
Team & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of video editors (and closely collaborate with QAs/IDs/SMEs).
- Set clear expectations, allocate work, track performance, and run daily standups and regular check-ins.
- Identify and groom sub-leads; support hiring, onboarding, and training of new editors.
Project & Workflow Management
- Own end-to-end planning, tracking, and delivery of multiple video projects in parallel (learning content, marketing assets, testimonials, webinars, podcasts, shorts, etc.).
- Create and maintain project trackers, TAT tables, and leaderboards to ensure visibility of status, workloads, and bottlenecks.
- Ensure timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder requirements are consistently met.
Studio Ownership & Production Execution
- Own day-to-day operations of our in-house studio.
- Plan and manage recording schedules, slot bookings, and studio availability.
- Oversee set up and management of camera, lighting, and audio for shoots (including teleprompter-based and remote sessions).
- Ensure recordings are technically sound and optimized for smooth post-production.
AI Implementation & Process Optimization
- Evaluate and implement AI tools for:
- Voice-over / dubbing.
- Subtitle generation & QC.
- Short-form creation, dynamic captions, thumbnails, and visual enhancements.
- Standardize AI-first workflows and train the team on effective adoption.
- Design and drive automation in sheets and dashboards for project management, reporting, and recurring tasks.
Quality Control & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Review edits for structure, pacing, audio-video quality, branding, and error-free content.
- Provide structured, actionable feedback to editors; implement feedback loops with QAs and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Content, Marketing, etc.) for requirements, priorities, and approvals.
Reporting & Data-Driven Decisions
- Own weekly and monthly reports on team output, TAT, quality metrics, and AI/automation impact.
- Use data from trackers and reports to optimize resource allocation, identify gaps, and improve processes.
- Maintain clean archives and storage (NAS/HDD/Cloud), ensuring easy retrieval and standardized metadata.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in video editing / post-production.
- Proven experience leading or supervising an editing or creative team.
- Strong hands-on skills in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop, Studio and onground recording with camera handling.
- Solid understanding of studio and camera operations: framing, lighting, audio capture, teleprompter use, and basic on-set troubleshooting
- Exposure to AI/automation tools for video, audio, subtitles, or design Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel projects with clear ownership of timelines and quality.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to design and maintain structured workflows, trackers, and reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Media/Film/Visual Communication/Design or related field is preferred (not mandatory if portfolio and experience are strong).
