Senior Vice President , Legal

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Commercial Transactions:

• Counsel the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters.
• Negotiate and manage agreements with regional and commercial banks.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial transactions.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice and resolve issues in existing commercial relationships.
• Handle pre-litigation disputes and inquiries.

Payments & Regulatory Compliance:

• Facilitate local and cross-border payments and funds transfers.
• Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and other payments-related laws.
• Develop and implement legal policies to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Corporate Governance & Employee Policies:

• Manage merchant agreements and litigation matters if any.
• Oversee employee or company-related policies, processes, and offer letters from a legal perspective.
• Implement legal procedures and best practices across the organization.

Leadership & Strategic Counsel:

• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, aligning legal advice with business goals.
• Promote ethics, integrity, and diversity & inclusion initiatives across the organization.
• Lead a legal team, ensuring effective management, mentoring, and development.
