Senior Vertex O Series Tax Consultant

Role: Vertex O Series Technical Consultant / Integration Specialist

Duration: 4–6 Months Contract

Location: Remote (EST Evening Hours)

Commitment: 20 Hours/Week

Key Responsibilities

Configure and implement Vertex O Series tax engine solutions.

Support Vertex–SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA integrations using Vertex Accelerator and SAP Connector.

Configure Vertex PLUS Tools including VendorRecon, FlexRFC, FlexTax, Goods Movement Accelerator, FLUX Builder, and Exemption Management.

Define tax rules, taxability drivers, exemption management, and reconciliation processes.

Validate SAP-to-Vertex data mappings and troubleshoot tax calculation, integration, and reconciliation issues.

Support SIT, UAT, deployment, hypercare, and production issue resolution.

Required Skills

7+ years of hands-on experience with Vertex O Series.

5+ years of experience integrating Vertex with SAP ECC/S/4HANA.

Strong experience with Vertex Accelerator and Vertex PLUS Tools.

Expertise in Canadian indirect taxes (GST, HST, PST, QST).

Experience with tax determination, exemption management, tax reconciliation, and integration troubleshooting.

Preferred

Prior Canadian Vertex implementation experience.

Manufacturing or distribution industry background.

Experience supporting large-scale SAP tax implementations and audits.
