We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SeniorVendor Manager to join our team at Truww. As a Vendor Manager, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operations of our company by managing our network of vendors, including carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople.
Your primary responsibilities will include shortlisting vendors, negotiating rates, providing induction and training, monitoring vendor performance, conducting quality control visits, assigning vendors to projects, and approving vendor payments.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and shortlist reliable vendors, including carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople, for various projects
- Negotiate favorable rates and contracts with vendors while ensuring adherence to company budgetary guidelines
- Conduct vendor induction and provide training on project requirements, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Regularly monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions
- Conduct quality control visits to project sites to assess workmanship and adherence to project specifications
- Assign vendors to projects based on their expertise, availability, and project requirements
- Review and approve vendor invoices and payment requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information, rates, and performance evaluations
- Resolve any vendor-related issues or disputes in a fair and efficient manner
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Kannada, Telugu and Hindi is essential. English language skills are desirable.
- Proven experience in vendor management within the interiors or construction industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of construction and interiors project management processes and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or any other construction/interiors project management-related course is preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Location: Bangalore
Working Days: Monday to Saturday (Sunday week off)
