Role: Senior UX Engineer – Design Systems

About the Role
We are looking for a UX Engineer who can bridge the gap between Design and Engineering by building, maintaining, and scaling design systems across multiple products.
This role requires a combination of frontend engineering expertise and design systems experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working closely with Product Designers, translating Figma designs into reusable, accessible, and production-ready components.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and evolve scalable Design Systems
- Develop reusable UI components and shared component libraries
- Translate Figma designs into production-ready frontend components
- Define and maintain design tokens, theming, and UI standards
- Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG standards)
- Partner with Product Design and Engineering teams to drive consistency across products
- Create documentation, guidelines, and governance for design system adoption
- Improve developer experience through reusable architecture and frontend best practices
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and component audits
Required Skills
- 6-12 years of experience in Frontend Engineering, UX Engineering, UI Engineering, or Design Systems
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining Design Systems
- Experience creating reusable Component Libraries
- Strong proficiency in React and/or Angular
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS
- Experience with Figma
- Experience with Storybook
- Understanding of Design Tokens and Theming
- Experience implementing Accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Strong collaboration skills with Product Designers and Engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on SaaS or Enterprise products
- Dashboard and workflow-driven product experience
- Experience with Monorepo architecture (Nx, Turborepo)
- CI/CD exposure
- Performance optimization experience
- Design System Governance experience
