Position Summary
The mission of Harness is to empower the 30M+ developers in the world with the ability to deliver software to end customers with the highest velocity, highest quality, highest security, highest reliability, and lowest costs, all without compromising on the necessary governance guardrails. As a Senior Product Designer at Harness, you'll play a key role in shaping the user experience of our Database DevOps product. You'll conduct customer research, evaluate the usability of existing experiences, and define simpler and more elegant solutions. You'll work alongside product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders and drive the design process from ideation and user research to wireframing, prototyping, and final UI design. Your work will directly impact how users interact with our product, ensuring designs are functional, beautiful, and aligned with both user needs and business goals.
About You
- With 3+ years of product design experience, your portfolio demonstrates an ability to solve complex problems and create intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
- Skilled at balancing user needs with business goals, you bring a meticulous attention to detail from concept through launch.
- Experience spans the full design lifecycleideation, prototyping, iteration, and deliverywhile collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
- A strong believer that user insights drive great design, you actively seek and apply data to inform decisions.
- Beyond solid UX principles, your visual design skills stand outproducing interfaces that are both aesthetically refined and highly functional.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into innovative, user-focused solutions.
- Communicate design concepts across the product lifecycle through wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Incorporate user feedback and business needs into continuous product improvements.
- Use data to refine design decisions

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in product or UX design.
- Skilled in Figma and rapid prototyping tools
- Strong experience in product thinking, user research, and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to case studies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience working on complex SaaS products, especially in developer experience, CI/CD or other DevOps tools.
- 1+ year of experience leading large-scale end-to-end design projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially with complex issues, and a solid understanding of technical constraints and limitations.
- A keen eye for detail, with excellent visual design skills that enhance the overall user experience.
