Our Product Design work is grounded in user research and product context. We structure complex information and workflows, shape interactions and interfaces, prototype and test product directions, and build Design Systems that help products remain consistent as they grow. We increasingly use AI-assisted workflows to explore and design directly in code, while Design Engineering carries product intent into the working frontend.

About the role

We are looking for a senior designer who can take ownership of software product design from the first client conversation through delivery. This is a hands-on role for someone who can understand product problems, design clear and thoughtful solutions, build scalable design systems, and keep projects moving through strong communication and sound judgement.

You will work directly with prospects, clients, designers, developers and product stakeholders. You will be responsible for both the quality of the design work and the successful delivery of the engagement.

What you will be responsible for

Product design

• Lead end-to-end product design across discovery, research, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototyping, UI design, testing and implementation support.
• Turn complex business requirements, workflows and data into clear, usable web and mobile product experiences.
• Explain design decisions using user needs, product context and evidence rather than personal preference.
• Work closely with designers and developers to maintain design quality through implementation, release and iteration.
• Use AI-assisted tools where they improve research, exploration, prototyping or production work, while maintaining quality and responsible judgement.

Design systems

• Architect and evolve scalable design systems across foundations, components, patterns and product-specific extensions.
• Define a clear token structure, from primitive and semantic tokens to component-level tokens, using variables, collections, modes and aliases to support themes, brands and responsive contexts.
• Create flexible component APIs with well-defined variants, properties, states, behaviours and accessibility requirements for web and mobile products.
• Work closely with engineering to maintain parity between design libraries and coded components, including token mapping, naming, versioning, release practices and implementation quality.
• Establish practical governance through documentation, contribution and review processes, adoption guidance, audits and migration plans that help the system remain useful as products grow.

Client collaboration and delivery

• Support pre-sales conversations by understanding requirements, asking the right questions and contributing to the proposed approach, scope and estimate.
• Lead client communication and keep expectations, decisions, progress and next steps clear throughout the engagement.
• Coordinate with the internal team to deliver the agreed work with the expected quality and timelines.
• Identify risks or changes early and help bring the project to a successful completion.

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design (Willing to make exception for special talent)
• Strong professional experience designing software products, preferably complex SaaS, enterprise or workflow-based products.
• A portfolio that shows end-to-end product thinking, strong UX and UI craft, clear rationale, systems thinking and meaningful outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining design systems, not only using existing component libraries.
• Strong skills in research, problem definition, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping and visual design.
• A high standard for typography, layout, hierarchy, interaction states, responsive behaviour and accessibility.
• Clear verbal and written communication, including the confidence to lead client calls, ask difficult questions and present recommendations.
• Ability to scope and estimate design work with practical awareness of delivery constraints and dependencies.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions and involve others at the right time.
• Comfort working across different industries, product stages and levels of ambiguity.
• Working knowledge of how design decisions translate into frontend implementation.
