About the Role

Apptad is seeking a Senior US Accountant with strong expertise in US GAAP, payroll accounting, billing, and month-end close within the staffing/recruiting industry. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring compliance, maintaining financial accuracy, and supporting operations by driving prompt invoicing and collections.

Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting

• Manage GL, AR, AP, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.

• Handle weekly/bi-weekly payroll accounting for W2/1099/C2C consultants.

• Ensure accurate timecard validations, rate compliance, and cost allocations.

Billing & Revenue (Staffing-Specific)

• Prepare and upload invoices via VMS portals (Fieldglass, Coupa, Beeline, etc.).

• Track consultant timesheets, placements, extensions, and revenue recognition.

• Coordinate with delivery teams for billing rates, PO updates, SOW renewals, and corrections.

• Drive collections, manage client follow-ups, and maintain aging reports.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Support month-end and year-end close activities.

• Provide financial summaries for management reviews.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to US GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.

• Manage W9s, 1099s, vendor documentation, and year-end filings.

• Maintain organized financial records and documentation trails.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 5–8 years of hands-on US accounting experience.

• Prior experience in staffing/recruiting industry accounting (strong advantage).

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, ADP/Paychex, VMS tools.

• Strong command of Excel (pivot tables, lookups).

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced US operations environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MSA/SOW billing models.

• Exposure to multi-state payroll/tax processes.

• Ability to build and maintain client accounting dashboards.
