JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct surveys of land and buildings, analyze their current use, and provide recommendations for future development.
- Work independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, government authorities, contractors, suppliers, and local communities.
- Conceptualize and visualize urban spaces, and translate ideas into practical designs.
- Design and improve built environments ranging from small streets, parks, and public squares to large-scale projects such as housing areas, airports, hospitals, and cities.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with planners, architects, policymakers, and communities.
- Research and integrate social, political, environmental, and economic considerations into urban design proposals.
- Use communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders and support informed decision-making.
- Engage and educate local communities in the planning and development process.
- Collaborate with the planning team to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and design guidelines.
QUALIFICATION :
- B. Arch And Masters in Urban Design & Urban Planning
SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES :
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and speed/accuracy in CAD drawings
- Familiarity with GIS and related allied services
- Strong understanding of architectural design processes, materials, detailing, and urban development concepts
- Creative visualization and innovative design approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
