Senior Unix Engineer Duties And Responsibilities
Monitor the environment for performance and stability to meet Service Level objectives.
Maintain system patching and security levels.
Develop ansible playbooks and modules.
Create and deploy Ansible solutions for a distributed data center infrastructure environment.
Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system
management tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.
Root cause analysis on incidents related to UNIX systems, hardware, and OS/software.
Maintain the environment to satisfy security requirements set by business drivers,
Information Security, and Compliance departments.
Update system and process documentation and user guides as needed diagrams and SOPs as
needed.
Participate in an on-call rotation to address production related issues.
Possess the ability to objectively handle escalation of reported incidents.
