Job Description

Summary
We're looking for an AI-first, forward-thinking developer to help build and maintain the Startup Program CRM — a standalone Salesforce instance used to manage leads, interactions, and campaigns. You'll customize the system (fields, workflows, automation), support internal websites and apps, and build process automations across Salesforce Platform, Slack and other Salesforce products.
You'll work closely with various program and project managers to build features end-to-end. We're looking for someone highly adaptable, curious about new technologies and APIs, and genuinely excited about solving business problems with technology.
This role goes beyond traditional development — you'll use AI to accelerate engineering, improve code quality, and unlock new levels of productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable solutions on the Salesforce Platform
Write clean, efficient code using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
Leverage AI tools and intelligent agents to enhance engineering productivity, automate workflows, and improve code quality
Actively identify opportunities to embed AI across the SDLC (development, testing, debugging, optimization)
Translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions
Debug and resolve complex issues across frontend and backend layers
Build and configure Salesforce components (objects, flows, validation rules, reports)
Develop integrations, data migrations, and automation workflows
Ensure performance, scalability, and security of applications
Partner with the team to define processes and success metrics for the work

Minimum Requirements

4+ years of Salesforce development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, Aura, and Flows
Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and data models
Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Slack
Knowledge of integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architecture)
Understanding of asynchronous processing (Batch, Queueable, Future methods)
Ability to troubleshoot performance issues across layers
Understanding of CI/CD, version control, and DevOps practices
Understanding of secure coding and platform security practices
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks
Working knowledge of Node.js and jQuery
Proficiency with distributed version control (Git)
Experience with agile product development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
