SENIOR TRUCK PUSHER

The Senior Truck Pusher is responsible for supervising and coordinating the transportation of drilling rigs and associated equipment during onshore rig moves. This role ensures that all transportation activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulations. The Senior Truck Pusher leads a team of drivers and logistics personnel to ensure successful rig moves.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and Coordination:

Lead and supervise a team of truck drivers and logistics staff involved in rig move operations.

Coordinate with Rig Move Supervisors and other stakeholders to plan and execute transportation activities.

Assign tasks and responsibilities to drivers, ensuring clear communication and understanding of the rig move plan.

2. Logistics Management:

Oversee the loading, securing, and unloading of rig equipment to ensure safe transport.

Plan and manage transportation routes to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.

Monitor the maintenance and condition of trucks and equipment, coordinating repairs and servicing as needed.

3. Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all transportation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Conduct safety briefings and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and incidents.

Maintain records of safety inspections and ensure that all vehicles and equipment meet regulatory standards.

4. Operational Oversight:

Monitor the progress of transportation activities and address any issues or challenges that arise.

Coordinate with drivers to provide support and guidance during rig move operations.

Ensure all transportation documentation, such as permits and manifests, are accurate and complete.

5. Team Leadership:

Mentor and train new drivers and logistics staff to ensure high standards of performance and safety.

Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and communication among the team.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members for development and improvement.

6. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:

Identify and resolve logistical and operational challenges in real-time.

Make informed decisions to adapt transportation plans to changing conditions or requirements.

Implement improvements to transportation processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
