Senior Trino/PrestoDB Developer at BairesDev

We are seeking a Senior Trino/PrestoDB Developer with expertise in distributed query engines, SQL federation, connector architecture, and query optimization technologies. The technology stack includes popular open source query engines - Trino, PrestoDB, Apache Hive, Impala, and related big data technologies. Thus, there is ample scope for collaboration and contribution to open source. The ideal candidate will develop and optimize high-performance distributed query systems, contribute to open source projects, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver innovative data processing solutions.

What You'll Do:

- Contribute actively to Trino/PrestoDB and related open source projects.

- Develop and optimize distributed query engines for high-performance data processing.

- Implement SQL federation solutions to enable cross-platform data querying.

- Build and enhance connector architectures for diverse data sources.

- Optimize query performance through advanced query optimization techniques.

- Collaborate with engineering teams on system integration and deployment.

What we are looking for:

- 10+ years of experience in software development.

- Strong expertise in distributed query engines and SQL federation systems.

- Deep understanding of connector architecture and data source integration.

- Proficiency in query optimization techniques and performance tuning.

- Experience with distributed systems and large-scale data processing.

- Core contributions to Apache open source projects (Trino, PrestoDB, Spark, Hive, or similar).

- Advanced level of English.
