Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Travel Consultant role based in Dindigul. The Senior Travel Consultant will advise clients on domestic and international travel options, including destinations, itineraries, budgets, and travel regulations. This role involves creating and managing end-to-end travel packages, handling ticketing and reservations for flights, hotels, cruises, and ground transport, and coordinating visas and insurance where required. The Senior Travel Consultant will respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person, provide prompt after-sales support, resolve issues during travel, and maintain accurate booking records in the company's systems. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams to support group departures, MICE travel, and franchise or B2B partners, while meeting sales targets and delivering high-quality customer experiences.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Travel Consulting and Travel Management, with the ability to design tailored itineraries and advise on international destinations and regulations.
- Hands-on experience handling Travel Arrangements, including flights, accommodations, ground transport, visas, and travel insurance.
- Proven Customer Service and Reservations skills, with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and maintaining accurate booking records.
- Familiarity with GDS/booking platforms (such as Amadeus, Galileo, or similar) and proficiency with common office software tools.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead role in a travel agency or tour operator, preferably with international tour packages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse travelers and stakeholders; Tamil and English fluency strongly preferred.
- Strong sales orientation with the ability to meet targets, upsell value-added services, and support B2B or franchise relationships.
- Diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in travel or ticketing are an advantage.
