Job Summary

The Senior Travel and Expense Analyst is a senior individual contributor supporting TriNet's Travel, Corporate Card (PCard), and Expense (T&E), reporting to the Executive Director, Global Procurement. This role partners closely with global procurement and T&E program owners and Finance to execute defined processes, perform advanced analysis and audits, and support governance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role focuses on operational execution, analytical support, and issue resolution rather than end-to-end program ownership. The Senior Analyst serves as an advanced subject matter resource for T&E operations and Oracle Expense, supports cross-functional initiatives, and provides data-driven insights to inform leadership decisions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Travel, Expense, And PCard Operations

  • Support governance activities for Travel, PCard, and Expense programs by executing controls, monitoring compliance metrics, and identifying risks or gaps for escalation
  • Execute day-to-day administration of the PCard program, including card issuance support, transaction monitoring, exception handling, and coordination with card vendors
  • Conduct advanced audits of expense reports and PCard transactions to identify trends, compliance gaps, and potential risks, and document findings and recommendations
  • Serve as an escalation resource for complex operational issues related to travel, PCard, and expense processing

Systems & Oracle Expense Support

  • Act as an advanced subject matter resource for Oracle Expense, performing root cause analysis on system or process issues
  • Partner with IT and global process owners to support issue resolution, testing, and system enhancements
  • Provide guidance to users and stakeholders on Oracle Expense functionality and standard processes

Vendor & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Monitor travel vendor performance against established service level agreements (SLAs) and document issues
  • Partner with Procurement and program owners to support issue resolution and continuous improvement actions
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, Compliance, and Internal Audit to support consistent policy application and audit readiness

Reporting, Analysis & Insights

  • Develop and maintain standard and ad-hoc T&E reports and dashboards
  • Analyze spend, compliance, and usage trends to provide insights that support leadership decision-making
  • Support cost-savings, automation, and employee experience initiatives through data analysis and operational recommendations

Training & Change Support

  • Develop and deliver training and guidance materials aligned to approved policies, processes, and tools
  • Support change communications and adoption efforts led by program owners

Continuous Improvement & Projects

  • Support cross-functional projects focused on process optimization, automation, policy updates, and system improvements
  • Lead defined workstreams or initiatives within a scoped area of responsibility

QualificationsEducation

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience (Required)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in travel and expense processing and booking systems (Required)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting corporate or PCard programs (Required)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with global or cross-regional teams (Required)
  • Experience with Oracle Expense or similar ERP systems (Preferred)
  • Basic understanding of general ledger accounting and financial controls (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

  • Advanced experience in T&E and PCard operations within a multi-region or enterprise environment
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable operational insights
  • Experience leading or supporting cross-functional initiatives within a defined scope
  • Advanced working knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems
  • Effective communication and stakeholder partnership skills
  • Strong understanding of T&E policies, controls, and audit requirements
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and escalate issues appropriately
