The Organization: Amazon Physical Stores is a growing organization within Amazon developing innovative experiences in retail stores like Amazon Go, Amazon Bookstores and Amazon 4Star stores. We are redefining retail customer experience in a way that WOWs the customer while preserving the trust customers have in Amazon. We build both hardware systems and software systems that power the magical Just Walk Out (JWO) technology in Amazon Go stores to the Point of Sale that recognizes you are an Amazon customer in Bookstores and 4Star stores. We are optimizing inventory management and supply chain technologies. We are doing all of this by integrating with Amazon services designed to massively scale for millions of customers. The Group: This position is within the Physical Stores- PRIMS group which owns Store Inbound and Outbound Operations and more supporting all formats of Amazon's physical stores.
The Role: As a Senior Technical Program Manager you will investigate solutions to complex problems, design solutions and work closely with the technical team to implement them. You will play a leadership role by working closely with business teams, technical teams and operational teams alike. You'll need to work well cross functionally, have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, be able to operate successfully both strategically and tactically, and have a strong bias for action.
You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that's higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving new problems. You will encounter challenging, novel situations every day and given the size of this initiative, you'll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. We're looking for people who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers, can demonstrate a high degree of ownership, and want to have fun while they build excellent products.

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
