We at Coforge are hiring We are seeking a highly skilled Senior TPF Developer with deep expertise in ALCS (Airline Control System) to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and maintaining mission-critical applications in the airline domain, particularly on IBM's z/TPF platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on the TPF/ALCS platform.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand airline operational requirements.
- Optimize and troubleshoot performance issues in real-time transaction processing systems.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers in TPF best practices.
- Ensure compliance with airline industry standards and security protocols.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.
- Document technical specifications and maintain system architecture diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in TPF/ALCS development.
- Proficiency in SabreTalk, Assembler (IBM BAL), C/C++, and TPF Toolkit.
- Strong understanding of airline reservation, departure control, or flight operations systems.
- Experience with z/TPF debugging tools, dumps analysis, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with mainframe environments, including JCL and VSAM.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TPFDF, TPF I/O, and TPF transaction management.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of airline industry standards such as IATA, EDIFACT, or PNR formats.
- Ability to work in a global delivery model with cross-functional teams.
