Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented
QA Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our web and mobile applications through a balanced mix of rigorous manual testing and scalable automation. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who can navigate complex workflows, identify edge cases, and contribute to our automated test suites using Selenium or Playwright.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing (Web & Mobile)
- Functional Testing: Execute end-to-end manual test cases for web and mobile (iOS/Android) platforms to ensure features meet business requirements.
- UI/UX Testing: Verify that the application's interface is consistent, responsive, and aligns with design specifications.
- Regression & Sanity: Perform thorough regression testing before every release to ensure new changes haven't impacted existing functionality.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using Jira or similar tools, providing clear reproduction steps and logs.
- Cross-Browser/Device Testing: Ensure seamless performance across various browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) and mobile devices.
Automation Testing
- Script Development: Design and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium or Playwright.
- Framework Contribution: Assist in enhancing and scaling the existing automation framework (Page Object Model, etc.).
- API Testing: Perform manual and automated testing of RESTful APIs using tools like Postman
- Maintenance: Regularly update automated suites to accommodate UI changes and reduce flaky tests.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years in Software Quality Assurance.
- Web & Mobile Expertise: Strong understanding of web technologies and mobile app ecosystems (APK/IPA testing).
- Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright (using Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
- STLC Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Database Skills: Ability to write basic SQL queries for backend data verification.
- Analytical Thinking: Excellent at identifying edge cases and breaking the system.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Mobile Automation (Appium).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
- Knowledge of performance testing basics (JMeter).
- Experience in API testing
Education
BE/BTech, Information Technology, or related discipline.
