Description
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in India, focusing on the quality assurance of our SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing, particularly in automated testing, to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform component and system-level testing of cloud-based energy automation products.
- Analyze customer issues and provide recommendations or escalate to development teams.
- Create test plans and strategies aligned with product requirements and quality goals.
- Understand business needs, user workflows, and technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Prepare test environments, execute test scenarios, and deliver comprehensive test reports.
- Ensure deliverables meet organizational and project quality standards.
- Provide feedback on software usability, functionality, and overall user experience
Skills and Qualifications
- 5–10 years of software testing experience, with strong expertise in SaaS applications(Cloud)
- Skilled in requirement analysis, test design, test case selection, and execution.
- Strong understanding of testing techniques with the ability to design and maintain efficient, high-value test cases.
- Skilled in building lean test suites that prioritize relevance, risk, and long-term maintainability (Implementing & working with test techniques).
- Proficient in functional and non-functional testing, including performance and scalability.
- Hands-on experience with front-end and API testing tools and load testing tools.
- Familiarity with IoT protocols such as MQTT (Publish/Subscribe model).
- Basic programming skills in TypeScript and experience with test automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Quick learner of new technologies and trends.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Experience in agile environments with a focus on continuous improvement.
- ISTQB Certification is an added advantage.
