In this role, you will have a significant impact by designing, developing, and maintaining advanced testing frameworks and automation tools that enhance testing capabilities across various platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to address testing challenges, ensuring a high standard of quality in software delivery. Your contributions will support the automation of functional, performance, and security testing, driving innovation and efficiency within the organization.
Accountabilities
- Develop reusable libraries, plugins, and CLI tools for test execution and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Build scalable test harnesses for distributed systems and cloud applications.
- Write maintainable code to automate test workflows using Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Integrate testing tools with version control systems and CI/CD platforms.
- Containerize tools using Docker and orchestrate environments with Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with QE, SRE/DevOps, and development teams to deliver effective tooling solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Tools Development.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
- Strong programming skills in Java with experience in automation.
- Proficiency in extending and customizing open-source testing tools.
- Experience integrating testing tools with management and reporting systems.
- Strong command of SQL and NoSQL databases, with knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
- Proven problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
