General Insurance - Senior Test Engineer
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed test plans and test cases.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across insurance platforms.
- Lead test automation efforts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure test coverage aligns with business needs.
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail.
- Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, and defect triages.
- Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers and promote best practices in testing.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and data privacy standards.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated tests into the development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 7+ years in the insurance domain.
- Strong understanding of insurance workflows (Policy Issuance, Claims, Renewals, Endorsements).
- Experience with DXC Assure InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) is a plus.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
- Familiarity with API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
