Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with strong expertise in the VLSI/EDA domain. The ideal candidate will have experience in architecting test frameworks, developing robust test infrastructures, and ensuring high-quality delivery of complex software tools. This role requires excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills with a strong sense of ownership and leadership.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Define and architect the complete test methodology and infrastructure to enable the test team to develop the tests and improve the overall test coverage ensuring zero miss.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, stakeholders, product owners, technical leads to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
  • Ensure zero miss in test coverage through systematic testing.

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

  • B.Tech / B.E / M.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science with VLSI / EDA background.
  • 4-7 years of work experience in testing software tools like playwright, Nunit.
  • Good understanding of VLSI/EDA domain, methodologies and tools and able to identify the corner cases ensuring zero miss (Good to have).
  • Good programming skills with focus on C# in UNIX & Windows environments.
  • Experience in architecting test frameworks and developing infrastructure for testing complex software tools.
  • Solid understanding of complete STLC life cycle.
  • Excellent understanding of various testing concepts like Test Identification techniques, Test Specification, Test Plan, RTM.
  • Excellent understanding of different test methodologies and concepts like functional, non-functional, white box/black box, unit (Test Driven Development), integration, component, and system testing.
  • Understanding of different test execution types like Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Stress etc
  • Solid understanding of Defect Lifecycle management using Jira.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD flows with Jenkins.
  • Good Understanding of Quality KPIs.
  • Good experience of working with code quality metrics like code coverage, static code analysis etc.
  • Automated GUI Testing experience is an added advantage.
  • Certification from Testing Bodies like ISTQB would be a plus.
  • Very good problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with agile software development techniques is a plus.

This is a 1 year contract role under 3rd party payroll partner and entitled to benefits according to partner company.
