Senior Test Data Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Test Data Analyst to support the testing workstream of a large-scale data ingestion programme. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data as it moves through ingestion pipelines into the data warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the testing workstream for a data ingestion and warehousing programme
- Validate data integrity across the full data lifecycle (source to warehouse)
- Perform detailed before-and-after data comparisons to ensure accuracy of ingestion and transformation processes
- Validate that updates made in front-end/source systems are accurately reflected in the data warehouse
- Work closely with Test Analysts to define and execute data validation strategies
- Develop and execute SQL queries to analyze, validate, and reconcile datasets
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to understand data pipelines and troubleshoot discrepancies
- Support defect identification, root cause analysis, and resolution
- Ensure data quality standards and governance principles are adhered to throughout testing
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Data Analyst or Test Data Analyst within data-focused programmes
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience validating data within data warehousing environments
- Strong understanding of data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes
- Experience performing data reconciliation and validation across multiple systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Test, Engineering, and Business stakeholders
Desirable Experience
- Experience working on large-scale data migration or ingestion programmes
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with modern data architectures and distributed data processing
