Senior Test Automation / Test Platform Engineer
Location: Bangalore (hybrid)
About The Role
We are looking for a
Senior Test Automation / Platform Engineer to
design and build a CPE test automation ecosystem using Boardfarm from the ground up. This is a
hands-on, builder-focused role, where you will take ownership of setting up the
automation framework, lab infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines in a real hardware testing environment.
You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to enable
end-to-end validation of CPE devices, from initial lab bring-up to stable automated regression. The role requires a strong mix of
automation expertise, networking knowledge, and system-level problem solving, especially in environments involving embedded devices and telecom technologies.
Responsibilities
- Set up and customise Boardfarm automation framework
- Develop pytest-based automated test suites (functional, regression, performance)
- Build automation for device interactions (SSH, Telnet, SNMP, HTTP)
- Design and manage lab infrastructure & CPE environments
- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab)
- Maintain test reports, logs, and quality metrics
Qualifications
- 7+ years in test automation (CPE/embedded preferred)
- Strong Python + pytest expertise (must-have)
- Experience with Boardfarm or similar frameworks
- Good knowledge of Linux, networking, and protocols
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test frameworks setup
- Domain knowledge in GPON / DOCSIS / CPE testing is a plus
