We are currently hiring an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in Healthcare and Medical Imaging to join a high-impact product engineering team. Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer who has extensive experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks for healthcare imaging applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Python-based test automation, DICOM standards, and end-to-end validation of medical imaging workflows.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-quality software releases while mentoring junior QA engineers and driving automation best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python.
- Build automation scripts to validate DICOM ingestion, processing, and output.
- Perform automated comparison of golden DICOM outputs with generated outputs using metadata and key imaging attributes.
- Automate complete imaging workflows including:
- DICOM Send
- Image Processing
- DICOM Receive
- Output Validation
- Validate AI-generated results stored within DICOM private tags and associated scorecards.
- Develop regression test suites to ensure product stability across supported customer environments.
- Manage test data, automation configurations, and multiple testing scenarios.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, QA, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and troubleshoot issues.
- Participate in test planning, defect analysis, and release validation.
- Mentor junior automation engineers and promote automation best practices.
- Continuously improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and testing processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Software Testing or Test Automation.
- Strong experience with Python for automation scripting.
- Hands-on experience in Healthcare applications with strong knowledge of:
- DICOM
- Medical Imaging Workflows
- Image Processing Validation
- Experience designing scalable automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of regression testing, functional testing, and end-to-end automation.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience mentoring or leading automation teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PACS, Medical Viewers, or Enterprise Imaging systems.
- Knowledge of HL7 healthcare messaging standards.
- Experience testing AI/ML-based healthcare applications.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
