Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tekla Modeler with strong expertise in ASIC standards for structural steel detailing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in commercial and residential projects, specializing in main steel, stairs, and miscellaneous steel modeling. The role requires precision, speed, and a strong understanding of fabrication and erection requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed Tekla Structures 3D models as per ASIC standards.
- Prepare GA drawings, shop drawings, and erection drawings accurately.
- Model and detail main steel, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous steel components.
- Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Ensure clash-free, fabrication-ready models and drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, checkers, and project managers to meet deadlines.
- Maintain revision control, drawing quality, and project documentation.
- Support and guide junior modelers on ASIC detailing standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 5-15 years of experience in Tekla Structures for steel detailing.
- Strong knowledge of ASIC (American Institute of Steel Construction) standards.
- Proven expertise in main steel and miscellaneous steel detailing.
- Ability to interpret and execute structural and architectural drawings.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in connection detailing and BIM coordination is an added advantage.
