About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Technology Business Systems Consultant with strong domain expertise in financial spreading and risk rating to support the analysis, definition, and delivery of solutions that enable financial analysis, credit assessment, and risk decisioning. This role will act as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, operations, risk rating methodology teams, and technology partners to ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, high quality, and compliant with regulatory and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of financial statements and commercial credit risk concepts, along with handson experience translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements within an agile delivery environment.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in providing technology initiatives for simple to moderately complex business problems within technology business systems
  • Contribute to the development of systems and procedures that are both cost effective and meet the relevant business requirements
  • Evaluate moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of planning and direction conducted to resolve complex business problems
  • Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate moderately complex business problems and lead a team to provide comprehensive technological solutions
  • Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition or improvement to re-engineer technical processes
  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to evaluate and resolve issues in order to provide technological solutions and manage both project schedules and deliverables
  • Coordinate communication and information flow between business and technology teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in retail Lending, Syndicated lending, Leasing or any financial domain.
  • 4+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years Loan IQ and Commercial Lending experience
  • Demonstrated experience with implementations of commercial lending applications, Loan IQ.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Agency Syndications & Loan Trading business in a front office, Operations, or Business Systems Consulting role.
  • Sound knowledge and background of Syndication Loan Origination and Servicing activities,
  • Experience working in Agile methodology with ability to elicit requirements, user stories, document processes and create test cases.
  • Experience with Testing and Defect Tracking software, such as ALM or JIRA.
  • Experience in attending Scrum ceremonies like Daily Scrum, Sprint planning, Sprint retrospective meetings.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and have experience engaging with senior leaders and managers.
  • Ability to operate independently under strict timelines.
  • Technical knowledge of the Loan IQ and demonstrated Loan IQ (vendor) data model knowledge and application experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven SQL skills. Advanced SQL skills with the ability to understand and develop complex SQL
  • Familiar with usage and application of Loan IQ API set
  • Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Liaise with line of business partners, technology teams, and the application vendor to document and troubleshoot production support issues.

  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes.
  • Provide Loan Accounting production support which includes working with operations users, technology, and Loan Accounting vendor to resolve issues.
  • Provides testing support for vendor upgrades, enhancements and production fixes.
  • Provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff

  • 4+ years of experience with Loan IQ operational, testing, analysis, or production support role
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating requirements, testing and implementation of medium to large scale enterprise projects with multiple dependencies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience tracking and reporting milestones including key deliverables and due dates.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data conversion efforts and required testing/validation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in SQL queries (foundational) to analyze the business data in the underlying systems and databases
  • Ability to communicate the technical changes, functional changes clearly to the stake holders.
  • Candidates with knowledge on Loan IQ or any financial product are preferred.
  • Candidates with knowledge on Loan IQ Data model are preferred.
