Job Description

Purpose

To independently operate, troubleshoot, and support pharmaceutical packing operations, while guiding technicians and ensuring compliance with cGMP, quality, and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables

Packing Operations

  • Independently operate primary and secondary packing machines (blister, bottle filling, labelling, cartoning).
  • Perform machine setup, changeover, and fine adjustments as per BPR and SOPs.
  • Ensure smooth operation with minimum breakdowns and rejections.
  • Achieve planned packing output while maintaining quality standards.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

  • Identify and rectify routine machine breakdowns and operational issues.
  • Coordinate with Engineering/Maintenance for major breakdowns.
  • Support execution of preventive maintenance and calibration activities.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, GDP, data integrity, and SOPs.
  • Perform and support line clearance, reconciliation, and in-process checks.
  • Ensure proper handling of rejections, deviations, and documentation.
  • Support audit readiness and inspections.

Team Support & Training

  • Guide and train Technicians and Helpers on machine operation and GMP practices.
  • Support shift handover and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Communicate issues effectively to supervisors.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Ensure compliance with EHS norms, PPE usage, 5S, and housekeeping.
  • Maintain cleanroom discipline in packing areas.

Qualifications Education

ITI / Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical / Pharma) or equivalent

Additional Notes

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong hands-on experience with packing equipment.
  • Good understanding of packing BPRs, SOPs, and GMP requirements.
  • Exposure to regulated market packing preferred.
  • Knowledge of serialization / vision inspection systems is an advantage.
