Job Description

About the Role: The role involves providing production support for enterprise applications with a focus on SSIS, SQL, and automation. You will work closely with technical and business teams to ensure smooth operations, timely issue resolution, and continuous improvement of support processes. The position requires hands-on experience with ITIL practices, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate in rotational shifts except for night shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide L1, L2, and L3 production support across assigned applications, with primary ownership of SSIS-based solutions
  • Act as the primary SSIS developer responsible for design, development, enhancement, and stabilization of SSIS packages in production
  • Manage incidents, problems, and changes in line with ITIL processes, with a strong focus on permanent resolution
  • Perform daily monitoring and proactively address application, data, or job failures
  • Analyse root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term fixes within SSIS and related data workflows
  • Design, optimize, and maintain Control-M job schedules integrated with SSIS and SQL-based workflows
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of SSIS packages through effective error handling and performance tuning
  • Coordinate closely with development, data, and business teams to deliver enhancements and resolve issues
  • Create Python scripts to automate repetitive or manual support activities related to data and batch processing
  • Build automation solutions that reduce operational effort and improve overall support efficiency
  • Use Excel Macros or VBA where required for operational automation or reporting needs
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders and provide regular updates on incidents, fixes, and improvements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a technology support or development role with a strong and dedicated focus on SSIS
  • Proven, end-to-end development experience in designing, building, enhancing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SSIS packages
  • Demonstrated ability to independently deliver SSIS solutions for complex production environments
  • Strong experience providing production support for SSIS-based systems with a developer-led problem-solving approach
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, change, and escalation management
  • Hands-on experience with Control-M scheduling and solid understanding of SQL Server and relational database concepts
  • Strong skills in SSIS performance tuning, error handling, logging, and deployment practices
  • Python scripting experience for automation of operational and support activities
  • Strong analytical skills with clear ownership and accountability for delivery and stability
  • Good communication and collaboration skills for working with business users and technical teams
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts, excluding night shifts

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Excel Macros or VBA for automation and reporting.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement practices within production support.
