Job Title: Senior Technical Project Manager – Water Treatment Systems (Dialysis)
Location: Gurgaon, India
Reporting To: SBU Head – Advanced Therapies
Role Purpose
The Senior Technical Project Manager – Water Treatment Systems will be responsible for leading and managing all India projects related to dialysis water treatment systems, ensuring successful planning, execution, installation, commissioning, validation, and handover of systems in compliance with applicable quality and healthcare standards. The role will oversee a team of project engineers and service personnel and act as the primary point of contact for customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end execution of dialysis water treatment system projects across India
- Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocation strategies, and execution schedules
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality requirements
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Conduct regular project reviews and performance reporting
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical expertise in water treatment systems used for dialysis applications, including:
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
- Pretreatment systems
- Distribution loops
- Disinfection systems
- Water quality monitoring and validation
- Ensure compliance with applicable dialysis water quality standards and healthcare regulations
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the national project team
- Establish performance objectives and monitor team productivity
- Coordinate activities of project engineers, installation teams, and service personnel
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary project interface for hospitals, dialysis centres, Nephrologists, Biomedical and Maintenance Heads
- Conduct project kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and final handovers
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Collaborate closely with sales, service, procurement, quality, and operations teams
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company quality management systems and project governance processes
- Verify that installations meet design specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations
- Support audits, validations, documentation reviews, and regulatory inspections
- Maintain complete project documentation, including drawings, validation reports, and commissioning records
Financial Management
- Manage project budgets, cost controls, and resource utilization
- Monitor project profitability and identify opportunities for operational efficiency
- Support commercial discussions related to project scope changes and customer requirements.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and installation partners.
- Ensure contractor compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements.
- Evaluate vendor performance and support strategic sourcing initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred
- Additional qualifications in water treatment technologies will be an advantage
Experience
- 15 - 20 years of experience in water treatment, healthcare infrastructure, medical devices, or related industries
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale projects and teams
- Proven experience with dialysis water treatment systems and healthcare projects preferred
- Experience managing multi-location projects across India

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications
