Description

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a strong program management background, with a well-rounded exposure to projects involving application of machine learning and AI. You will lead the team through a quarterly planning process, improve experimentation velocity continuously, and hold all stakeholders accountable to a high throughput. You will work with partners across the search orgs, and be responsible for milestones for various high visibility projects. You will develop and own mechanisms like flashes, launch announcements and monthly business reviews to maintain collaborations with business and country teams. As part of the role, you will play a strong role during the operational planning process of the org. As a technical leader, you will influence strategy and outcomes across various search relevance initiatives.

Key job responsibilities
. Carry out monthly and quarterly planning process with the scientists/SDEs on the team
. Own plans for high visibility initiatives for improving the precision of search results, and drive towards them
. Drive mechanisms like flashes and monthly business reviews
. Maintain collaborations across business and country teams, driving competing priorities
. Own experimentation velocity for the team, and find avenues for improving the overall throughput of experiments
. Influence overall strategy to improve search autocomplete experience

About the team
This is a position on the Search Autocomplete team in Bangalore. We are rapidly transforming the Amazon search experience. You'll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and product managers to drive program management. Along the way, you'll learn a great deal, have fun, and make a positive impact on millions of customers.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
