Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of next-generation banking platforms. This role requires strong core banking domain expertise—particularly in Transaction Banking, Deposits, and Payments—combined with modern engineering capabilities across cloud, microservices, and AI-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in modernizing legacy systems, integrating vendor core banking platforms, and leading high-performing engineering teams within a global banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of scalable, high-performance banking applications.
• Architect and implement microservices-based solutions leveraging modern cloud platforms.
• Drive engineering best practices across CI/CD, DevOps, and platform reliability.
• Mentor and guide development teams, ensuring high standards of code quality and delivery.

Core Banking Domain Expertise

• Work closely with business and product teams in Transaction Banking, Deposits, and Payments domains.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions aligned with banking workflows.
• Lead integration and customization of core banking systems and surrounding ecosystems.

Platform Modernization

• Drive transformation initiatives including:
• Legacy to microservices migration
• API-led architecture adoption
• Cloud-native application development
• Implement observability frameworks for proactive system monitoring and performance optimization.

Innovation & AI Enablement

• Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML in areas such as:
• Payment processing optimization
• Fraud detection
• Operational efficiency
• Promote adoption of intelligent automation and data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on banking technology.
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale systems in core banking or transaction banking environments.
• Hands-on experience working with vendor core banking platforms, such as: Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Oracle Flexcube, Temenos T24

Technical Skills:

Programming & Integration

• Strong expertise in: Java (primary), Python / Node.js
• API development using: RESTful services, GraphQL
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling

Architecture & Engineering

• Experience with: Microservices architecture, Event-driven systems, Distributed systems design
• Familiarity with API gateways, service meshes, and integration patterns

Cloud & DevOps

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong understanding of: Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code

Observability & Reliability

• Experience with observability tools and frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace, Splunk)
• Strong focus on system resilience, monitoring, and SRE practices

AI & Emerging Technologies (Preferred)

• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks or use cases in banking technology
• Understanding of data platforms and advanced analytics
