Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in creating precise technical documentation that effectively communicates complex concepts and nuances to a diverse audience. The Senior Technical Documentation Specialist will collaborate closely with teams to ensure our technical documentation meets industry standards and enhances user experience. As a Technical Documentation specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining all the technical documents by collaborating with stakeholders within the organisation.
Job Description
- A strong, convincing portfolio of previous projects; including impact data pointers will be an added advantage.
- A comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience of document development life cycle (DDLC) and software document development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Develop and maintain various technical documents: user guides, product manuals, troubleshooting manuals, installation guides, quick start guides, presentations, videos, product tutorials, and more.
- Craft compelling narratives about SmartQ product suite across formats such as documents, presentations, videos and more
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate technical details.
- A firm hold on English grammar and other basic linguistic devices
- Translate technical information into easily understandable content for various user groups.
- Review and edit documentation meticulously to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Work with product team to stay updated with new product features and follow-up on product documentation and video channel enablement.
- Continuously update existing documentation to reflect changes.
- Lead documentation initiatives and drive guidelines and best practices for the technical writing function.
- Hands on experience with tools like Adobe Technical Suite; Adobe Framemaker, Adobe Robosoft, will fetch brownie points.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in technical writing with experience in B2B SaaS companies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Rapid adaptability to grasp and communicate technologies effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A proactive attitude, driven by continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
