Job Title: Senior Technical Delivery Manager

Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: 15+ years

Reports to: Director of Technology / CTO / Delivery Head
Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Technical Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of enterprise-scale technology solutions across multiple projects and clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, delivery management, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities.

This role requires ownership of end-to-end delivery, including project governance, solution delivery, technical oversight, team management, customer engagement, risk management, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality solutions are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership:
  • Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple technology projects and programmes.
  • Ensure successful execution of projects within agreed timelines, scope, quality standards, and budgets.
  • Develop project plans, delivery roadmaps, resource allocation plans, and execution strategies.
  • Establish delivery governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, dependencies, issues, and escalations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes and methodologies.
Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical oversight across software engineering, cloud, data, integration, and digital transformation projects.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to review solution designs and architecture.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Guide teams on best practices in software development, cloud adoption, DevOps, and engineering excellence.
  • Participate in technical reviews, design workshops, and client solution discussions.
  • Drive adoption of modern technologies, automation, and engineering best practices.
Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Serve as the primary delivery contact for clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and delivery excellence.
  • Lead project governance meetings, steering committees, and executive reviews.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Present project updates, risks, mitigation plans, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Team Management & Leadership
  • Lead and mentor Project Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, Developers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Support recruitment, workforce planning, onboarding, and performance management activities.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and career development discussions.
  • Drive employee engagement and team development initiatives.
Agile & Delivery Excellence
  • Promote Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, release planning, retrospectives, and delivery reviews.
  • Ensure effective backlog management and prioritisation.
  • Improve delivery predictability, quality, and team productivity.
  • Establish and monitor delivery KPIs and performance metrics.
Financial & Resource Management
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, profitability, and utilisation.
  • Ensure optimal allocation of resources across projects and programmes.
  • Track project financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support commercial discussions, statements of work (SOWs), project estimates, and change requests.
Risk, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery and technical risks.
  • Support ISO, information security, and governance initiatives where applicable.
  • Ensure delivery adherence to quality management standards and best practices.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
  • Hands-on understanding of:

  • Required Experience
    • 15+ years of overall experience in software engineering, project delivery, and technology leadership.
    • Minimum 5+ years in Technical Delivery Manager, Delivery Lead, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role.
    • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects and distributed teams.
    • Experience working with global clients and cross-functional teams.
    • Strong background in cloud, software development, digital transformation, and managed services delivery.
    • Experience managing budgets, commercial engagements, and client relationships.
