The primary responsibility of this role will be to define and build Tableau Dashboards and Data sources for both internal and external facing customers, following the team's SDLC. It requires the confidence to work with business domain experts in the Risk, Treasury and Operations teams. The business teams are based primarily in London, but the teams also have a presence in Hyderabad itself. You will also work alongside technical staff in London, as well as in other ICE offices, including the main US Atlanta office.
The role will require the incumbent to gain a good understanding of the entire clearing lifecycle from pre-trade preparations to post trade management, nuances of Risk and Treasury management, and familiarity with the data underpinning these processes.
There will also be an expectation to assist with responses to ad-hoc questions and requests from internal and external stakeholders. Some of these requests will be complex and urgent in nature, which will require an ability to work under pressure, rapidly analyzing data, validating and concisely communicating the responses.
As a Senior Analyst, the incumbent will need to be proactive and comfortable to take responsibility for key deliverables, mentor the analysts working within the team and provide training to business users on usage of Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Improve the quality and efficiency of Business Intelligence.
- Take ownership of deliverables and produce high quality Tableau reports to an agreed schedule.
- Analyse and perform complex transformations on high volumes of data
- Present data and analytical conclusions in a concise manner and develop interim and production reports as business needs dictate.
- Be innovative in the display and visualisation of reports seeking to improve their use, effectiveness, and user experience.
- Business requirement definition, Functional designs for Tableau reports and Dashboards, test design, planning and execution are key aspects of the role.
- Provide Technical assistance and advice to development team for new reports in production, changes to specifications, or to assist in resolving issues in existing reports.
- Ability to integrate knowledge and reports into the production facing areas is essential so that reporting quality can be sustained.
- Liaise with business to finalise requirements, perform walkthroughs, and to assist them to comply with the team's SDLC
- A high level of analytical complexity is involved as data is extensive together with an ability to absorb and apply knowledge as some business areas are complex.
Knowledge And Experience
- Very Strong Tableau skills
- Strong data analysis skills using Oracle/ SQL/ Excel i.e. ability to write or understand complex queries and models
- Strong working knowledge of ETL tools. Tableau Prep exposure is preferred
- Comfortable working with Excel VBA
- A logical and analytical approach, high level of numeracy and attention to details
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team
- Higher level education
Desirable Knowledge And Experience
- Training in IT development methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall
- Experience in financial industry (especially exchanges or clearing houses) or working with industry regulators
- Hands on experience working with data feeds, interfaces, and workflows
- Experience working with Python, or other programming languages
- Exposure to Process and Data Quality improvement initiatives
