Further, we allow teams to build their own agents rather than relying on others to build them- this means you will be building the last piece of software using AI agents. 

Location: Gurgaon (On-Site)

Work Hours: PDT-aligned, 01:00 PM - 10:00 PM (IST)

Joining Preference: Immediate joiners preferred

Salary Budget: upto INR 45 LPA

Tech stack : 

  • Building on top of Azure AI and other cloud technologies 
  • Understanding of React, Django, FastAPi, vLLM 
  • Deep understanding of Agentic AI implementation of tools, MCP and Opentelemetry. 
  • Languages : Python, C#/Java, TypeScript

Role Overview:

We're hiring a Tech Lead / Engineering Architect to lead the design, development, and scaling of our AI-native platform.

You will:

  • Translate broad customer requirements into scalable, modular engineering components that engineers in a team can execute along with AI coding agents.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior-to-mid-level engineers to build reliable systems with best practices in logging, measurement, observability, and debugging.
  • Drive architectural decisions ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability of core services.
  • Champion AI-native development, training engineers to adopt AI tools and workflows to accelerate delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and legal experts to deliver features customers love and trust.

As an early-stage startup (team of <20), your impact will be direct and highly visible. You'll not only lead engineering execution but also shape culture, standards, and the future of LegalGraph's technical foundation.

What You'll Do:

  • Technical Leadership: Break down ambiguous customer needs into clear technical deliverables, architecture, and roadmaps.
  • People Management: Coach, mentor, and upskill engineers, with a focus on adopting AI-native workflows and modern engineering practices.
  • Execution: Own delivery of core platform components (agent builder, integrations, analytics, debugging tools) from concept to production.
  • Quality & Reliability: Ensure systems are built with robust monitoring, error-handling, and performance measurement.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product and legal SMEs to co-design solutions and iterate quickly with customer feedback.
  • Innovation: Explore, prototype, and integrate cutting-edge AI tooling to continuously improve developer productivity and product capabilities.

What You Have (Mandatory):

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years leading teams or projects.
  • Proven ability to translate product/market requirements into technical architectures.
  • Strong coding and system design experience (SaaS or enterprise-scale preferred).
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and growing junior/mid-level engineers.
  • Fluency in building scalable systems with logging, monitoring, and debugging best practices.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered workflows and willingness to train others on adoption.
  • Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and wearing multiple hats.

Bonus Points:

  • Hands-on experience with AI-native development (LangChain, CrewAI, RAG systems, LLM evaluation).
  • Early-stage startup experience scaling teams from 0 → 20 engineers.
  • Strong background in enterprise SaaS, legal tech, or workflow automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, DPDPA).
